Our Team

Jacqueline is the lead therapist and founding owner of Aqua Paws Hydrotherapy Inc., launched in 2009. In 2014, she surpassed the milestone of 10,000 hours spent in the practical application of holistic and rehabilitative water therapies for dogs, earning her a place among the most experienced pool-based canine hydrotherapy practitioners in Canada.

Recognized as an expert in the field, Jacqueline obtained her certification as a holistically trained Canine Warm Water Therapist (CWWT) (USA) in 2008. Within the year she founded Aqua Paws and opened her first canine water therapy pool, and in 2012, she traveled to the UK for more in-depth study in the area of rehabilitative hydrotherapy protocols.

Since then, Jacqueline has immersed herself in learning, training and corporate development. She opened the Aqua Paws Vancouver flagship location in early 2013, and launched the revolutionary Fitcare, a fitness-based Dog Daycare program in the summer of 2014.

Jacqueline’s lifetime dream of improving the lives of dogs continues to flourish through her commitment to inspiring and educating others, and to her pioneering approach to the practical application of canine hydrotherapy and aquatic exercise. .

Today, the Aqua Paws Canine Wellness Center remains the largest and most-respected facility in BC with an expansion plan for additional locations in the works, and the launch of the Aqua Paws Apprenticeship Training Program slated for 2018.

Happy Clients

Our clients, past and present have become our friends and colleagues in support of sick, injured and homeless dogs. We’ve developed long standing relationships with many local shelters and advocacy groups to enrich the lives of homeless dogs through donated water therapy services and awareness efforts.

Several times a year we donate the use of our facility to host adoption and fundraising events for local rescues and shelters. Here’s a video of our most recent event, supported by a few of our generous local food and treat suppliers. It was a great day spent raising money for dogs in need, and raising awareness of the importance of volunteer and foster programs when it comes to saving canine lives.

Hi Jackie

Thank you so much for your work with Ani…. and me as well!

We were both depressed and anxious after she injured her 'good' knee and I thought she was never going to be carefree and playing again! Now even at almost 14 she has strength and energy to play and dig and carry big sticks! She loves to swim and play on the beach… You have given that back to us!

Also…Your wise advice … not grieve her before she is gone … And many other good bits … has helped me cope better with my beautiful senior.

We both are very grateful we met you!

For those of you who have an aggressive or un-socialized dog like Brewster – Jacqueline is like a godsend. Her facility provides a safe and calm environment for dogs, to drain energy and have fun (one of the only carefree moments I have with him outside the house). She has dramatically improved the quality of life for both me and my dog through patience, commitment and a genuine love for Brewster. No one was willing to take on a tough case like him…
